Senior Content Analyst, Thomson Reuters
September 2016 - present
I started my career with Thomson Reuters as a Copy Editor on 19 September 2016 and my current title is Senior Content Analyst. I'm involved in two different projects. Findlaw Copy Editing project involves copy editing legal content for FindLaw websites, and Findlaw Content Review involves writing and also reviewing blogs for Findlaw sites. I also assume the role of a mentor from time to time. I've mentored 10 new employees to date. I’m also a part of the weekly newsletter committee called “Weekend Loading” that reports events happening in Bengaluru. I write a piece every week and also coordinate with web developers in publishing the newsletter

My job profile included copy editing research articles pertaining to the field of science and engineering (mostly life sciences) with adherence to Academic Journal style guide. During my tenure with MPS, I've served as a copy editor for top journals under Nature Publishing Group.

September 2012 - February 2013
I was assigned to train BPO applicants on language and soft skills. I was also responsible for sourcing candidates suitable for employment for some of the BPO companies in Bengaluru. I acquired proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint during my role as a Trainer.

Copy editing
Editing makes a huge difference to any content, and I have perfected the art of copy editing over the last 6 years as a Copy Editor. I have worked with diverse content (scientific and legal) during these 6 years.
Writing
Writing is closely linked with storytelling. I have a passion for writing where my copy editing skills come in handy. And I have the ability to make any idea communicable with just the right words. Training
They say the best way to perfect a skill is to preach it. I began my career as a Trainer and I have carried with me my teaching skills every step of my career. In my first job as a Trainer, I trained hundreds of job seekers and in my current role I train newly hired employees.
